2023 INTER-HOUSE SPORTS EVENT

SHOMS INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE celebrates her 2nd Quadrennial Inter-House Sports Competition on Wednesday19^th July, 2023 at  NPA sports ground, opposite Eko Club, off Bode Thomas Surulere, Lagos State.

At the end of the ceremony, Green House topped the medals table with twelve gold, nine silver and five bronze to push Red House to the second position with Ten gold, seven silver and nine bronze medals.  Blue House finished third with eight gold, twelve silver and eleven bronze medals, just as Yellow House placed fourth with four gold, six silver and nine bronze medals.

Dignitaries from all walks of life, including parents, who turned out en masse to support their children, attended the colourful inter-house sports competition. It was not just the students that participated in the activity as parents, teachers and invited schools took part in various activities.

Speaking at the occasion, the Director of the school, in person of Honorable Oluwaseyi Olowu commended the teachers for their efforts, just as he thanked the parents and those who sponsored the event.

He said that the holding of the inter-House sports event is in partial fulfilment of the mandate given to schools by the government to raise, nurse and nurture children who will become balanced citizens academically, emotionally and physically.

The Director awarded students whose parents took part in the sport competition with a partial scholarship for the first term of the 2023/2024 academic session. The event was indeed a memorable one.
